Add Video to Our Website
How can we add some video files to our website so potential customers can see some samples of our landscaping work?
If you have some professionally created video, small segments can be added to your website for visitors to download and view, or the video could be viewed by visitors through a video player, like you see on YouTube.com.
Video is best for presentations with moving images with narration.
It may be that a slide show showing a series of images with before and after photographs may work equally as well and pose fewer technical challenges.
Tips:
- Offer at least two resolutions of your video so someone with a slower internet connection won't have to wait too long for the video to begin.
- Consider using a Flash video player so you will not have to support several video formats.
- Set up one or two videos initially and test them on slow and high speed networks.
- Use professional video. YouTube quality may be fine for watching singing dogs, but not appropriate when presenting your company.
- Use professional voice overs when possible.
- Consider having longer video segments professionally edited. A shorter video with music and professional voice over will be more effective than a longer video that seems "home grown".
