Get Access to Our Website
The webmaster working on our website has abandoned the project and we cannot get access to our website—it is incomplete and is hurting our business. What can we do?
If you have been paying for hosting directly, it may be possible to contact the hosting company and get access to your website hosting account so changes can be made.
Once you have access, you can have a new website designer complete the work.
Tips:
- Quick Fix
- Hire a second website developer, then point your domain name over to the new website bypassing the disputed website.
- Use a temporary website page so potential clients will not see the incomplete pages while your new developer works on completing the project.
- Disputes
- Try and work out disputes before they reach an impass.
- If there has a been an ongoing dispute and your webmaster is "holding your website hostage" you may need to seek legal action.
